About the project: Entitled S-STEM SUCCESS: Supporting Undergraduates through Curricular and Co-Curricula Engagement and Student Scholarships, this project seeks to increase retention of students enrolled in one of Louisiana Tech University’s eight engineering programs, leading to a rise in the number of STEM graduates prepared to enter the workforce. The SUCCESS Scholars will receive scaffolded levels of financial support along with faculty mentorship and enrichment opportunities as they progress in their engineering studies. The grant team consists of Dr. Krystal Cruse (PI), Dr. David Hall, Dr. Marita Apter-Desselles, Dr. Mary Caldorera-Moore, and Ms. Charlotte Wilkerson. For more details, please see the project's NSF award listing (Award #2221638). Budget and timeline: $1,499,867 to be used over 5 years About Krystal's CGS experience: "When I started to write the proposal, I felt overwhelmed and out of my depth. However, after finding The Complete Grant System and having Q&A sessions with Alicia Kiremire, I felt much more prepared. She helped me to develop an attainable timeline for writing the different components of the proposal and lent her expertise which elevated the final outcome."
Congratulations, Krystal, and good luck on your project!
