3 apps I use every day

"Alicia is the most organized person I've ever met."

When people describe me, it's the word I hear over and over again. Organized.

Today I want to share my secret with you. Well, actually my three secrets.

Three apps I use every day:

1) Asana (the free version)

I use Asana all day every day. It's literally changed my life. I use it to plan client work so nothing falls through the cracks. I also use it for my other priorities (like physical and spiritual health, family time, travel, etc). One day I'll write a whole blog post about Asana and all the problems it solves for someone running a company and a life!

2) Toggl Track (the free version)

Do you ever wonder, "where does all my time go?" Well, Toggl helps me figure that out. It gives real data to uncover which projects are taking the most time and which projects are actually quick (but still impactful). Either way, this information is super helpful when I'm planning future projects. And Toggl makes it as easy as a press of a button - no more Excel spreadsheets!

3) YNAB ($99 per year)

YNAB = You Need a Budget. And you do! I do too. This app helps with the "where does my money go?" question. If you have grant projects, you probably have a fancy accounting system and staff to help you keep your budgets straight. But you can do the same thing for yourself and your personal accounts, to solve not only where your time goes but also where you want it to go.

And a bonus app, for fun:

When I started planning this blog post, I realized all my planning apps might be a little TOO much. As much as I love organization, I don't want to become a robot... So I started doing the NY Times daily mini crossword puzzle. It's been fun and adds a little play to my otherwise efficiency-focused days!

What about you? Do you use any of these apps, or similar ones?
